Online Greek Courses 2011-2012 for Catholics

The following online schools and tutoring services will be offering online Greek courses this fall. It is worth noting that their courses are taught by Catholic enterprises and by Catholic teachers. Please consider them in your homeschool this year. We have provided dates and times of classes as well as prices to help you compare.

Nota Bene: Their live classes are offered at different times, so the likelihood of you finding a time that works for you is increased!
Homeschool Connections: GREEK I-Beginning Greek (Grades 9-12)

  • September 12-December 5; Fridays at 2pm ET
  • $160 before August 1 ($195 afterwards) per semester

  • 2 Live classes per week

  • Textbook: Hanson and Quinn's Greek: An Intensive Course

The Rolling Acres School: FIRST YEAR GREEK (Grades 7-12)
  • September 5-May 11; Live class Thursdays at 12:30 ET
  • $330/year or $180/semester
  • 15 weeks per semester with weekly recorded lectures and weekly Live classes
  • Technology: Live Audio-Video-Text Conference
  • Homework: Graded by Instructor, Mr. Kenneth Rolling, M.A.
  • Textbooks: John Williams White's First Greek Book; Kenneth Rolling's "Greek Composition Assignments"; Kenneth Rolling's "Translating Greek from the Sources"
  • Instructor's Availability Outside Class: Email and Private Skype Conferencing and Live Group Study Sessions
