Have you been wondering what my Latin classes are like? Now is your chance to see! Please visit this site to view a recording of the last Latin I class of the fall semester! After you click the link, the class will begin in a few short minutes. Please be patient and do not navigate away, or the download could become interrupted. Also, you will notice several moments of silence. During a live class, the instructors and students often communicate more via chat function than microphone, so the instructor is reading the chat box for questions and comments. When you sign up for a live class and/or the subscription service, you will have access to all supporting materials such as homework assignments and tests. All Latin textbooks are freely available online.
The Homeschool Philosopher aims to provide students with information and links concerning all things classical and philosophical to aid them in their quest for wisdom through the study of history and academic philosophy from the Catholic perspective. In addition, we host Alecia Rolling's posts on German-English homeschooling and cross-posts to The Bosconian Review and the Schola Rosa Journal.

Latin in the Spring
Latin I and II (Part Two) are being offered in the spring by Mrs. Rolling via Homeschool Connections. If you are continuing from the Fall or if you have found yourself in need of some extra help, please sign up here. Classes begin January 12th!This is a challenging and fast-paced course with translations of ancient, medieval, and modern Latin texts. Each week there is also a Latin composition to write, a Latin prayer to memorize, and quizzes to take. Not to mention, there are the usual textbook activities. Come prepared to be challenged, but to have fun as well, especially as you learn with other students from all over the United States.
There will be much to do to prepare for the National Latin Exam as well. If you are thinking about the NLE, you should have your application in by the end of December to be certain your application is on time. Please see the link in the left-hand column for more information about the National Latin Exam.
