New! We are starting to add free discussion starters for Sophie's World: A novel about the history of philosophy by Jostein Gaarder to our website. You can find these questions as well as future discussion questions above under "STOA".
Kenneth Rolling, M.A. is writing these questions for a summer reading group at The Rolling Acres School. This is an online reading group and the class begins on July 25, 2011. See the R.A.S. website for more details --- Parents and students are welcome!
The Homeschool Philosopher aims to provide students with information and links concerning all things classical and philosophical to aid them in their quest for wisdom through the study of history and academic philosophy from the Catholic perspective. In addition, we host Alecia Rolling's posts on German-English homeschooling and cross-posts to The Bosconian Review and the Schola Rosa Journal.
What a coincidence! I have started reading "Sophies Welt" (in German as you can see) to my son (7th grade). I will use it to accompany our history studies, so we won't finish the whole book in one year. What ages are you using the book for?
ReplyDeleteThanks for giving me the link to your other blog. Very nice.
